Real Wedding: Alicia + Ben

“Mikaela is AMAZING! She has a voice like an angel and was so amazing to work with. She has a great list of songs to choose from and was so accommodating when we needed help selecting songs for the specific moments. I highly recommend Mikaela!” - Alicia H (ceremony)

This bohemian Winter wedding was one of my all time faves. Ben and Alicia’s love is lighthearted, fun, and steadfast and it was an absolute pleasure to play for their wedding ceremony! It was a cold November day and I was so thankful to find a random pair of gloves in my wait for it…glove compartment. 😂 With fingers toasty warm, I sat down to play the prelude music.

Ben & Alicia chose “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac, “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys, “Come Away With Me” by Norah Jones, and “You Send Me” by Sam Cooke as guests took their seats and got all bundled up. With everyone snuggled in their jackets and blankets, the ceremony began. I played “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele as their family and bridal party processed down the aisle. Next, Alicia made her way down the aisle holding hands with her mom as I played the wedding favorite, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis. Their ceremony was truly so sweet, with every bridal party member sharing their favorite things about the bride and groom, and the officiant recounting their entire love story. After sharing their vows, I played a chorus of “Latch” by Sam Smith - one of their songs. They exchanged rings, were pronounced man & wife, and I broke into a cover of “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. Everyone cheered and they practically ran down the aisle together - into their new life as a married couple.

Thank you so much for having me! I’d play for y’all in gloves and freezing weather ANY day. ❄️❤️

Highlights: Color scheme of my dreams, all the good vibes, rustic florals, velvet/fur/all the Wintery textures.
